Well gang I know I haven't been here much lately...school is almost over....*party time....anyways It was a georgous Saturday here in NJ and I decided to take out the ol' Buick and give it a run. So I decide to drive to a buddy's house and go driving for a bit with him. While driving there what do I meet on the street but an 86 or 87 Monti SS which I wasn't paying attention to. Well with my windows open, stereo cranckin I'm just minding my own business until I looked in the mirror doin about 40MPH this jerk was tailgaiting me. My reaction was "YOU SOB!!!"...well lets just say this punk got a taste of a Buick 350 :laugh: . With the windows open, stereo still cranked, and 1 arm out the window I decided to give this jerk a run for his money....as soon as it cleared I jump on the gas and I pull away like he's standin still...when I looked down at the spedo...lets just say the car cruises well at 100 MPH :shock: and the windows were still open :laugh: . Another POS chevy bites the dust :TU: After that I pick up my buddy and continue to cruise to a car lot my friend wanted to see....and who was folowing me...none other then club member Raymond Vellucci in his white 70 convet Skylark. It was great to say hello to Ray again, and it was even cooler to see 2 buick following each other on a great Saturday drive :TU: . After saying hello and goodbye to Ray were driving to the car lot and I get the evil eye by these two dirtbags in a Ford pick-up. I tell my friend whats up and he's like..."give em something to look at" :laugh: ...well folks you guess it....the ol' smokey burnout was in full effect on Rt 33 and left a nice mark on the roadway.....and this car has 275-60-15's with a 2.56 rear and still lit em up :shock: :laugh: and chirped through all 3 gears :Brow: . This was the extent of my Saturday of fun with the Buick! :TU: and I will keep everone posted as to whats next on the project block for the Ol' Buick :TU:
Hey Larry, It was great running into you and Dave on Saturday afternoon. I decided to take the old Buick for a run when I spotted your mean green machine cruising down the road. You are correct...it was great having two 70 Buicks cruising behind each other on a country road. We received a alot of looks from people raking their leaves. It was great seeing you again..
