Bought a new set of Mickey Thompson Drag Radials 275X50X15 for the Turbo. Went to the track last night to try them out. Only pump gas the alky and a street chip.

My first run I line up against the white Mustang that beat me in a 300 yard street race that I was foolish enough to get sucked into (by the time I built boost and was coming the race was over). He has gears and a 2 stage nitrous. Anyway I had the alky set too high and was popping through first. Later I was told there were 3 foot flames coming out the exaust. I turn it down the car clears up, I run him down and pass him at the traps and beat him 12.6 to 13.0. He says his nitrous quit when he hit third gear. Maybe, but he just lost in front of all the people he told about how he beat me and he never tries to line up against me again.

Second run less alky against a stripped down gutted SRT-4. A .15 light and 1.8 60' and 12.27 sends him to the showers.

Third run more fuel, more boost against an Acura with slicks. My best light .055 but too much boost and blow the tires away right off the line with a 2.4 60' and spinning through first and getting sideways as the Acura puts 5-6 car lengths. Regroup and reboost run him down for the win with a 14.7. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugly.

Fourth run turn down the boost a bit and destroy another ricer with a 1.8 60' and 12.24.

Final run before the rain a black Cobra (Thank you God). Talk to him as we wait in the staging lanes and find he is a nice guy running as fast as I am. He has a few bolt ons and these Hoosiers though. We both ease off the line with my 2.0 60' to his 2.3 so we don't spin but I beat him by a half second a 12.4 my closest real race all night with him at my back bumper all the way down the track. Good tires could have made the difference for him although my reaction at .15 to his .23 is what really put him in the hole. He was running a few tenths behind me all night, I'd bet it was the Hoosiers

Traction was terrible I could not netter the 1.8 60' and none of the big guns 10's or better made more than two passes complaing of traction and their cars walking all over the track. I would have liked more traction so I could have set the boost higher than 20# but it was a good night.
