I plan on driving the car over to the truck stop this weekend. 5 bucks to get it weighed. It's not NHRA legal yet so no track weight yet (darn shaved handles).

What's your guess? Kagillion dollar prize!:pp

    69 GS all steel
    all glass except rear window
    tubbed with 4 link.
    plastic 8 gal cell
    9" ford braced
    TA stage2 with girdle
    th400
    No AC:laugh:
    No PB:laugh:
    Manual box
    JBZ disk all around
Pro stars 4.5 and 15" wide

I'll post the true weight this weekend.

Close. Mine is 3520 with my fatass in it.

But I have a 10 point moly cage and a pin on hood so that's a few lbs off.

When I first tubbed Dougs 65 it was all steel and it weighed around 3200 lbs.

I'll take a stab and say 3470. BTW, what kind of truck stop scale?? If it's a CAT scale, then it'll be accurate. I don't trust any other truck stop scale, and I'm a professional truck driver.

Yep, race buckets but the nicer adjustables, Summit seats. Not much tin work except in the back seat, package area. Mild steel 10 point cage. Not sure what rear chassis it is but looks to be 2x3 rectangle with round tube crossmember. Nothing factory under the dash. Painless harness and box all other holes welded flush.

I'll have 8 gals minus what it takes to get there.

Here's some of the rear prior to me getting the car.

Oops, forgot seats... Please ignore the steering wheel it's been replaced with a real buick sport wheel. Dash pad is now a none AC version. Not sure of the scale type but it said LEAVER was 3860 which was dead on.

Looks like I need to polish up my fiberglass skills. Tonight I found an ancient track inspection sticker in my glovebox from Milan; 2500 lbs on the front tires, 2075 lbs on the rear.

Maybe the aluminum intake and heads have helped since then!

    Hey Royden!:beer

My buddy made a video of me launching on clean cement. They said the front wheels kindof skipped along out the hole. They where supose to email the thing but didn't get it. Must'a been sore after I beat his roller motor rat on nitrous. Well he did finally catch me at the 3/8 mile. He runs low 11s on motor and low 10s on the gas. Knocked him off pretty easy although that nitrous comes on hard on the big end. Probably something to do with him shifting at 7800. I spec'd his car so it's all good.

I love your headers by the way. Love the tunnel ram. That rod is killer!

    J. W. will be real close. I first thought it would be less but the 9" is heavy, and the mild steel adds up. I had a 68 that had a 12 bolt and chromoly 10 pt. and just the rails moved in and it was only 3100 but I had glass hood and bumpers and light radiator, starter, alternator, no girdle etc.

Well if I average the 10 guesses so far it's 3450. I did find out it is a CAT scale. Hopefully have a true weight tomorrow.

    My guess is 3380.

Just got back from the scales. Man was it HOT! 110deg inside the car driving on the freeway with a big tire 4.30 gear.

Anyway.........3290 without me in it. Full of fuel. I'm ~190 so the 3480 race weight.

The WINNER is.......... Mister T, knows his scales!!!!

    :3gears:

I found out I need new outside axles bearing/seal on the drivers side. C*#p! One year to the Day from the last time I tore the rear apart. I've never changed press on bearings myself. I may take 'em to Pyle brothers, they probably have the large ford 35 spline ID in stock.

How about that!!! Mine was more of an educated guess. I'll take it though.
