There were 4 models built on the " X " platform : Chevrolet Nova N Oldsmobile Omega O Pontiac Ventura V Buick Apollo A Was it done on purpose ?? The Ventura name was from the 60's as was the Nova name . But the Omega name and the Apollo name were new for the early 70's
I saw quite a few 70-72 Skylarks with the straight 6 Chevy engine at the dealer in the early 70's And a few Olds Cutlass withe the same straight 6
I've got some parts if anyone is looking. The 73 cars got different grill trim that is much less gaudy.
This was after a thrash to get to the buick race at NED... only to fail tech for a crack in the windshield.
There used to be a couple of those around here but I believe they were 350 powered. Not sure whatever happened to them.
I can’t speak about the ‘71s but for ‘72 the 6-cylinder was no longer used. The 350-2 was standard equipment.
