Hi,I was wondering what happened to this guy his name is Bryan Brown and he lived in california and had 3 GSX stage 1 car ,a 70, 71 , and a 72.I would love to see some new pictures of these cars especially his 72 Flame Orange car.I last saw a picture in the mid to early 90's of his cars.Does anyone know who I mean. Thanks Curtis
Bryan Brown There was an article about him and his three GSX's in Musclecar Review back in the 90's. I have the magazine here somewhere. All three were big blocks and the 72 was a 4 speed if I remember correctly. I also believe that he sold at least the 70 GSX thru Hemmings a couple of years later. I'll look to see if I can locate the article and maybe scan a couple of pics. Larry
Bryan Brown Well my memory isn't what it used to be but I did find the article without too much difficulty. It was published in Musclecars in January of 1995. Here is the cover:
Are they supposed to say "455 Stage 1" on the passenger side of the grilles like that? I've never seen that before? But then again... I've never seen a Stage 1 in person before either, so what do I know. o No:
Gsx's Is this guy still around ,as I said I would love to saa more pictures of his cars. Thanks for the great magazine pictures though.Curtis
Nada... I don't believe the GSX's had any emblems at all on the fenders either. Only the GSX emblem on the grille and the stickers on the quarters and spoiler.
IIRC, his 72 was for sale in the local paper about 10 years ago for 25k. The pic on the magazine cover is the same one that's on the package of one of the 1:64 Johnny Lightning GSX cars. I remember hearing he was a pretty private guy, not sure how he ended up doing an article in CC. Looks like 2 of those cars are 4-speeds.
Dunno, never met him. He was a member of our little GS club, but never went to meetings. Just sent his dues in...
Bryan is still around and is a great guy. I have spoken to him on a few occations and is a really nice guy. Bryan does not have all three of the GSX's anymore. I believe he only has one of the three. Mark
