Has anyone posted picture of a correct installation of a 1970 and 1972 front spoiler from the under side view? I would like to see the and understand the differences from the 1970 and the 1971-72.
Once located correctly on the side the underside is predetermined Roughly 1in BEHIND the fender brace bolt The 70 spoiler was cut out in the center leaving a 1.5in~1.75 lip essentially following the lip width from the sides,..in 71 they added material several inches to reinforce the center of the spoiler so they wouldn't fold up like tent if you bumped something
...Squeeze clamps are your friend. Clamp to fender lips and core support. Mark holes. Drill. Be very careful drilling core support. I didn't use center brace, mine didn't fit and I never got around to altering it. If you use baffle, slip in last by loosening spoiler bolts and test fitting. Some "notches" on mine were misaligned and needed modification. Mine didn't come with bumper clips. Another thing I meant to add later but never did. After spoiler installed, be careful where you park, especially if ft end lowered ...
