The slightest bit of research and this car could have been accurately listed. Another example of how dealers and flippers are ruining the hobby. They didn’t even bother to swap the speedo when the 4 speed conversion was done. Makes one wonder about the quality of the “rebuild”. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2251114897...7QYe_jTQKi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
You are assuming that a salesman knows exactly what he is selling, or even cares. How often do you see that today? Duane
good catch guys. The worst big block clone job ever. Just slapped a 455 decal on the air cleaner. Honestly at a local cruise-in or car show, only about 1 out of 100 spectators would know it's really a 350 and not a 455.
LOL, even has Stage1 emblems. The K in the VIN gives it away as a 350 car. I contacted the seller through Ebay to let him know. Let's see if they respond.
Good Catch, guys. I've spoken with the dealer about 3 days ago and we've exchanged several emails. He told me 2 days ago that the "455" was a transplant and i told him his ad was deceptive and he needed to change it. I actually didn't catch the fact that it wasn't even a 455. I've already reported it to eBay as fraudulent.
Dealer probably has no idea what it is, except what the owner has told him. And I bet the owner got hoodwinked when he bought it, too.
After sending the sales manager a detailed email noting that I had made 3 of his salesmen aware that they were misrepresenting their car they finely changed the add and removed all references to 455. It now states that a rebuilt 350 is in the car. Good on the manager.
