does any body know where to find a vacuum diagram for the gs ram air cleaner.is there a tee to hook up both vacuum motors or does just one get hooked up for the preheater? 71 gs 455

    dual snorkel

I checked my assembly manual and it only showed 1 vacuum line going to the carburator. I couldn't get to my 70 gs because of snow but I have this one from my 71 stage. Hope this helps. Randy :TU: :TU:

:Dou: One of these has a t in it that goes to the carburator. I will post when it stops SNOWING!!!!!!

    darrenkp Love that Torque!

One hose from carb to switch, one hose from switch to tee, two hoses from tee to motors. :TU:
Why would they have two motors and not bother to hook one of them up? :bglasses:

I do have the diagrams if you'd really like to see one. :beer

according to the picture you sent one vacuum motor would be open at all times, when i hooked it up with a tee to both motors one only opened,so i thought one motor was bad,but when i put a vacuum pump to each one they both opened!!!........weird..... :Do No:

This is definatly a factory installation that I am showing. Maybe if somone else would chime in it would help. Maybe the preheater is bad. Just a suggestion. Randy.

The passenger side inlet door is closed all the time there is vacuum present. It will open under load (ie, vacuum drops)...the drivers side is controlled by the thermal switch in the air cleaner...cold will close it and allow the heat from the heat stove in, as it warms up the valve will slowly open.
