Hmm, well, after working 4-9pm Friday, 10am-7pm Saturday, and 8am-5pm today, it's all back together, everything I scratched or dirtied repainted, had to make a header gasket, the speed shop was out, then my intake gasket set didn't have the little bottle of blue high tack sealant that should have been in the box, so I had to settle on stuff I had lying about. Should be good enough, but I try to use the proper thing, you know? So after monkeying about on this thing it's together, noisy at first but hey it's been apart for 6 days, and the noise cleared up, it revs nice and smooth, tick went away. Only strange thing is, I have a vacuum leak, it seems. I can hear a "fizzzzzzzzzzzzz" after I shut the engine down, somewhere in back of the engine, but get this- I am still pulling 19" Hg, the same the engine pulled the day I put it together in '99, and the same I always get when i tune it. Weird. But I can drive it.
