Was on CL the last couple of days and sounded like a real good deal, I couldn't get a hold of anyone local to check it out for me, anyone on here buy it?

    1970 Buick Gran Sport 455.
This is a one owner car with all matching numbers and nearly all original as it came out of the factory. The only customization was a professional restoration in 1984 where we painter it racing green from it's original Mist green color and added the crome wheels. It has its original 455 cubic inch engine that has been professionally tended and well cared for. She runs beautifully. It has 65000 original miles ans has been stored in my Barn (on jacks) every winter. It is a great driver but could be restored to show condition if you wished.

I wish I would have seen that one! I am only about 15 miles from Ann Arbor.
I see that it is gone from the AA CL. How much were they asking ?

I don't know if I should post the asking price, hate to make more grown men cry. It is several thou less than others I have seen for sale recently and based on the pics it looked to be cheap. Hopefully the buyer is on here and can give us a review.

Buyer Beware, if you are interested in this car, you should call the previous owner to get the story. I talked to the current seller and he lied through his teeth and told me he owned the car for two years (he hasn't even had it a week yet) and that he put Cragar wheels on it after he bought it because he couldn't find orginals. Who knows how true anything else is that comes out of his mouth.

    Guys..................It's green-on-green, get over it.

Personally, I didn't see much profit margin in a hard to sell green-on-green car.
The last few green-on-green 70's that have been for sale on this board, were for sale for YEARS with no buyer.

Jtroop had one for sale forever,Sobotka had one for sale forever,I think I'm forgetting a couple more.
Not too long ago, there was a aqua mist car on here forever at giveaway price, and I believe it's on here again, one of the MOST disireable 70 colors, and it sit's without a buyer.

Bleeechy, green-on-green(where is that puke your guts out smiley?)

No offence to ugly green-on-green 70 owners, and this is coming from someone who actually likes, greens, browns, golds, etc. Just not THAT much green:laugh:

No profit margin at $6,500 or at $15k? I think it is probably a $9 - $10k car easily the way it sits, even green on green. This was a solid, numbers matching, 60k mile pretty original, 1 owner GS455. Hard to find one of those for under $10k, just look around!

I think its clear from the new for sale ad for the aquamist car at $10k that it has some serious issues that need to be addressed.

Even at $7k, that would probably $500 more than you make on most of the cars you sell Tom! :bla:

I don't even like green, but the triple green stage 1 at Bowling Green was drop dead gorgeous...

I don't see what the hoopla is :Do No: . Could have bought the Burgandy Okla car for less before it got flipped on the board.

I think you have to make a distinction between light pea/ no sale green and Sherwood green which is a nice color.

As a comp, I sold my 70 GS-455 for 6500 a few months ago. Although it was a 75-75 car with a black bucket interior, it had the typical NE rust issues and a NOM 455. It needed a resto. So.....

You have to admit that green one looked pretty good in that old pic all spiffed up with shiny Cragars. Not to go off on a tangent, but how much more would that car of sold for if he dragged it out in the sun and gave it a good detailing? Most cars suffer from poor presentation like this one.

For what it is worth I sold that green/green in Florida on craigslist in 4 days for 14k. I could not give it away here on the board. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder......lol!
