Wondering if anyone knows if there will be another buick only race in kearney nebraska this year? I went last year and broke in time trials. Just hoping that it wasn't my last chance. Kearney Raceway Park resurfaced this spring and it is AWESOME!

Gunn, This is Dave and I am the event director for the challenge again this year. I can very much so assure you that we will be there again this year. And don't worry, I have no intentions of moving/ending the race. We have alot of great supporters and friends that have made it well known to me that they wont let the race go away. As long as I have folks that want to come and have fun, we'll be in Kearney, working on our tans, and sweatin' to the Buicks........................ Bill, I will be there and I am looking forward to seeing you again. My car will not be done. I do not have a place to store it when finished and until I do it will stay under raps. I am not allowed (covenants) to erect another structure where I live. I am actively seeking some rural land and erect a building. I may move to this location also. These circumstances have led to delay finishing the car. The car will have show quality paintwork by Earls in GI. (scheduled this fall). He has completed several award winning cars and does exceptional work. I want to be able to run it at next years event and will try to be patient until then. Bill, are you planning on going to the BPG event? It has been a tradition of mine to go to the World of Outlaws Knoxville Nationals but unfortunately the two events are scheduled the same weekend. I have decided to go to the BPG event and was wandering what your plans are. I just recently decided to go to Salem and have not made any arrangements yet. Dave, you were close. It is a small block car. My car is the 72 that the converter broke and blasted through the top of the case. Thanks for bringing the event back again. It may be hot, humid, and nasty out there, but It is a great time and the people are always wonderful!
You know we'll be there!!! We'll be there Friday evening, probably around 6:00 or so. I'm a little out of practice this year on the bench racing, so I may not finish in the top 5 like last year, but I will enter the race!!!:beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer
