OK so this means I need WHAT color steering wheel ??? Sandalwood ??? here are some other pics of the car if someone is interested the car is original and kinda cool :bglasses: I like it  http://www.bigtreeway.com/1971
Ryan, Sandalwood sport wheels very difficult to find. Bought mine in Fl. two years ago. Vendor had it listed as "Caramel". Member here had one NOS last year, pretty sure it sold quickly. I bought in the neighbourhood of 6-7 wheels looking for that colour.
Jim Lore is correct on the color. Gray sport steering wheels are available but they are from the Skyhawk models.
A Board member has contacted me and has one for sale  BIG TIME THANKS TO HIM you know who you are :beer :beer :beer I will post if the deal falls though
That was me . I got an NOS one that was supposed to be sandlewood .It waas the color of Ryans dash kinda goldish now I have come up with a 70 16" thats almost grey . look at the pics compairing them John
JK, Nobody wants those........I will be very generous and offer you $50 for the pair. What a deal! :Brow: :Brow: :Brow:
Ryan if you decide to go with the 15" wheel ( that matches your dash) I'd deduct the price of the cap you found and send you another tan cap. Just let me know which way you decide to go . John "GS wheel headquarters"
Ryan, I have a grey sport wheel off a Skyhawk if your other deal falls through. It's worn almost completely smooth though and it's got some staining that I can't seem to get clean. It's complete with horn cap, hub, etc. I was going to try and dye it black, but I'm not sure how it will hold up. Brian
I guess even the king can be wrong hey Georgeou: The wheel is a 16" soit had to come from 70 or before . Its just like my Black wheel from my 70 GS except the color of course.:Smarty:
JK, I think the wheel you are calling "gray or close to it" was another color and has either faded or the color has chemically changed. Just because it is a 70 wheel does not mean it can "not" change color. I have seent his before with other wheels....including some black ones that turned blue.
George I can honestly state that I have had this same color interior on my 70 post sedan race car and this wheel is Grey . Now if Ryan wants to I could send it to you but I bet he wants to install it in his car . The adaptor is also this same color and its exactally the color of the metal parts in Ryans pic . I have seen one other in like 96 or so at BG . this color is not Grey per say but like Steve Craig said could be called a carmel /grey color . I have had many sport wheels and this one is in gret shape and not faded . But that said it might be from a Corvette right ? But this wheel is the same color asRyans 2 spoke wheel John
