Please pray for J.P.(John Perry). My heart just goes out to this kid, no one should have to endure this much heartache much less a young boy. His mom died in an auto accident when he was four. He went to live with his paternal grandmother while his dad was in prison. That grandmother dies from cancer when he was six and he moves in with his maternal grandmother Doris. The father gets out of prison a couple of years ago and says he doesn't want anything to do with J.P. and takes off. Now he is twelve and his maternal grandmother Doris died of cancer last week. Doris and her husband Fred are friends of mine and Fred is grieving right now and does not know what to do but J.P. is so angry he is almost out of control. My wife and I would take this kid in a second but he doesn't want anyone around him and that is understandable. No one can talk to him or get through and I worry he might do something drastic.
Please keep him in your prayers.

    tragic

Wow that is a very tragic story and a very hard life for such a young man.I really do not know how I would attempt to comfort someone who has been thur so much at such a young age except to tell them that Jesus Chirst's love is ETURNAL and brings PEACE.Jesus can give you peace and calm the storms of life like no one else can.Jesus spoke these words in John14)27 Peace I leave with you,my peace I give unto you;not as the world giveth, give I you.Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. I pray he finds peace by coming to know the GOD OF PEACE if he doesn't know him already.

Thank you for your support. He used to come to our pentecostal church with his grandparents untill he turned 11 last year when his maternal grandmother got sick and then he gave up on God and refuses to come with his grandfather anymore.

    thank you again

    Michael:

I, too, will pray for J.P. You're right, it's too much for a kid to endure. I will pray for his comfort and understanding and that God is with him at this time.

I went through a similar situation with my sister when my mom died. Her anger and hate was very strong and she wouldn't listen to anyone. It really takes time and patience to help J.P. through this. He's very fortunate to have you with him.

He might talk to someone if it were someone closer to his age. Check your county/township government, see if there is a Youth Bureau (it's a national program) locally that you can tap into. They have tremendous resources to help, and may be able to assist both you and J.P. Also, Hospice (if one is in your area) has programs that may also help and you can call on them 24 hours a day. Both of these programs are NO COST to you, J.P. or anyone else. Youth Bureau is tax supported and Hospice is volunteer.

If you need more info, please let me know and I will do anything I can to help you locate resources in your area. May the Good Lord Bless You for caring about the young people among us.
