Hi, as you all may know I am doing a Buick 350 swap into my '87 Cutlass. I really need to get this thing going before my landlord starts asking me to have the car towed(seems like I have a car sitting in the yard for more than a few months and she starts asking me when I'm gonna junk ito No: ) Anyway if you read my old post I got a '72 350,tore it down and everything looked good,so I'm considering just throwing it back together minus the rod & main bearing because the've already been tossed and hoping for the best. I really don't have the funds to do the machine work I want to at this time and really don't want to junk my Cutlass. I have these questions. 1) Will the timming cover from the 3.8 work on the 350 (Some idiot stripped the 350's water pump bolts out and had the pump bolted to the cover using bolts and nuts) 2) Will the harmonic balancer from the 3.8 work on the 350(Rubber rotted out on 350's) 3) Here in the next month or so I will need to get a 4brl Q-jet for the 350 and a set of exhaust manifolds(Drivers side was cracked) anyone got a carb or manifolds they don't need?
i'll sell you some manifolds off of a '70 350 $30.00 plus shipping (im in 96150)... also the '85 and earlier 3.8 front cover's (14-bolt pans) should work... wes bilgerat671@juno.com
