I feel so good about this. I have finally found a church I believe to be a very fitting one, nice & very friendly people, preach from the holy bible(Just about the only thing I really require is preaching from the holy bible, and not "their" bible), and it is not only a learning day on sunday but a fun day to learn about the Lord. Anyway the Pastor came by on 4-19 and saved me, and I accepted Christ as my savior. A great day in my history book to behold. Oh, and it is a Calvary Baptist Church. I am very thanful for this.

    God Bless

    -Cody :)

BTW, I know this may not sound very intriguing to you but I thought I would at least let you all know. It is exciting for me though. Thanks for viewing! :TU:

Praise the Lord for another one snatched from the devil's grasp! How old are you Cody? The reason I ask is, if you are relatively young, make sure you seek out other Christians your own age that you can share struggles and victories with. I can speak from experience when I say that you will now see the power the devil really has! He will try his best to discourage you and make you doubt. BUT GOD PREVAILS WHENEVER WE LET HIM!!!

And if you are old like I was (27) when God rescued me, it still is important to have friends/church family you can talk to.

Cody, Praise the Lord. God will help you through any and all situations if you let him. Julie and I have been so blessed by Him that I could write for hours and never scratch the surface. You are right to insist on the KJ version of the Bible. It is the closest translation we have to the mindset of God.
I find a wealth of information on how God would have us behave in our everyday life in the books of Proverbs and Psalms. Good life to you Cody.

    Praise God!

Cody, my brother, I am so glad and excited that you shared this with all of us!! This brought a smile to my face this morning. Do you now have a feeling of peace and contentment as you never had before? This is by far, the greratest decision you will ever make. Jesus Christ paid it all for us in full and the free gift of salvation is for everyone for the taking. What a supreme sacrifice our Father in Heaven made for us and his show of love for all! We are only on this earth for a short time as compared to the time we'll spend in eternity. Where we will spend it, is up to each and everyone of us. Will you follow soon in believer's baptism? If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to get involved in your church's Sunday School. You'll grow so much in the word and have strong Christian fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Hopefully, other brothers in your church will do as outlined in Philimea and shepherd and encourage you. You can also be an encouragement to others! Give thanks in and for everything for He is worthy of all our praise! You can also be a strong daily witness for Jesus Christ and the Truth. Pray that God will use you in such a mighty way. I pray that you will be placed in the center of God's Perfect Will and be responsive and obediant to His plan to use you for His honor and glory. I am so happy you have been reborn!!

    Congrats Cody,
I am quiet happy for you that you have made this awesome decision to give your life to God.Just as a few others above have stated, make sure that you get involved ina bible study with people your own age,it will be a blessing to you.

Also,is your dad saved? If he is,ask him if he would disciple you.If not,go to a Pastor in church or a respected member, and ask them if there could be someone to disciple you.It is a very important thing to do in that you will have an experienced Christian walking with you in the physical world that can help shape your walk in this early stage.

I got a huge smile on my face when I saw the title of your post.It is such an awesome time to be celebrated among the heavenlies as they proclaim your salvation.

Good news! Let them that hear, hear. Let them that see, see. My only advice is to suround yourself with good seed so you may grow and that the Lord's Prayer is an outline for us to use.

    Congratulations -

    You made the right choice.

Now you need to buckle in for the long haul. It won't always be easy and it won't always be fun and it won't always make sense, but it's still the right choice.

We are here for you, your church family will (or should) be there for you but more importantly God, in the person of Jesus Christ, will always be there for you.

God bless you in your new life.

Thankyou so much everyone for all the kind words and advice, it is very helpful to me. I will take everything said above as good advice for me to use. I know I am excited, and yes the next thing on the list is baptism. I am fairly new to the church and crowd but I will adapt and am already making tons of new friends and even meeting some old friends! I also am making goals for bible study and have already set a minimum of 2 or more versus to read any day I can.

Once again, I can't thank you all enough for the congrats and kind words.

    God Bless! :)

    Priaise the LORD Cody!:TU:

For a good foundational reading...read, read and re-read as many times as necessary...

    Matthew Chapter 13...

Versus 1-9 are "The Parable of the Sower" and versus 18-23 pertain to the explination of that Parable by Christ. The saved ARE the seed spoken of in these passages and this will show you how and what can happen to the believer by what he is "fed" and how he is "fed" and by whom. Any church, no matter the denomination, that does not believe that the Holy WORD of GOD is ABSOLUTELY true and totally infalable from the first word of Genesis 1:1 "In" to the very last word of Revelations 22:21 "Amen" is not the church any believer should be joined with. The WORD is THE foundation, THE Rock which we are to build our lives on!:Smarty:

    Matthew 13...
    3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
    4 And when he had sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up;
5 Some fell upon stoney places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But others fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thrityfold.

    Matthew 13-9...
"Who hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Talk to the LORD often and to hear back from HIM....read your BIBLE even more often!

"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the WORD of GOD...":Smarty:

    GOD bless!:TU:

    GSXMEN Got Jesus?

Cody - In addition to the above suggestions, I'd like to suggest KLOVE or a similar Christian radio/online radio station to listen to!! :Smarty: :TU:

It makes such a difference to give up the secular radio stations and fill our minds with the positive message and uplifting music/lyrics that you get by listening to Christian radio.

Not only will you hear all kinds of different music, but you'll hear from some really great preachers such as David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindell, Charles Stanley, Chip Ingraham and MANY more!! You'll also hear from organizations such as Focus on the Family, ACLJ, etc.

It's a whole new world you have to look forward to.....now that your eyes are truly opened!!! You can be sure that we'll all be here for you, for all the support you happen to need. :TU:
