Does anyone know where I can purchase a chrome master cylinder and chrome booster for my 1964 buick lesabre convertible? I've done some google searches, but would like to make sure what I buy fits.

Is your car a column shift or floor shift? If floor shift the best thing is to upgrade to a dual MC and larger booster from a 1967 full size. I used gloss POR15 on my booster and MC and it's held up well. Check out my posts over the years for more 1964 full size Buick projects

It is a column shift. So .... Can I still upgrade to a dual MC?

In a word, Yes....... You will need to upgrade your lines and prop valve for the duel....

Definitely worth the up grade..... With the old single MC if you blow (leak) 1 wheel cylinder... All the fluid exits that leak == No brakes...

With the duel you have at least the front or read if a single leak occurs...

You can and should upgrade to a dual MC, but cannot use the larger '67 booster as it will interfere with your shift linkage. Since I upgraded both the booster and MC, I can't tell you if the '67 dual MC will fit the smaller '64 booster. I used SS lines and a distribution block from Inline Tube. Everything fit great. A proportioning valve isn't used with 4 wheel drum brakes even with dual MC (You will need a proportioning valve with front disc brakes).

    Dezy,

I would suggest that you repost this in the "Whoa and the Sway" forum. There might be more depth of knowledge there.

So, yeah .... I actually made progress on this, I'll post pictures and info to show you what we did. Basically, new dual cylinder chrome master cylinder with new chrome booster, new lines, pretty cool almost done.
