I second that, after 27 great years. She not a gearhead chick , but doesn't mind me spending money or working on my Buick.

My wife of almost 7 years has been through bikes, boats, campers and everything else. Finally settled on the 65 Special. Last summer she was at car shows in the heat looking for inspiration for OUR project while she was 7-8 mos pregnant. I found some body parts out in Phoenix and when she heard the shipping cost, SHE suggested a family vacation to pick up the parts, with our 9 month old daughter. So now, I get my parts, I don't have shipping coming out of the car budget (she's an accountanting major, graduating in a couple weeks) and I get a cool vacation. She is always looking through magazines and we bounce ideas off each other about what we want the car to be when it's done. And my daughter, she will have a car seat with custom cloth to match the custom interior. So I got a GREAT one on my end. Just my .02....thanks

    Tom,
Most excellent on the car seat idea. Good stuff with the Mrs. too. Seems like you're gonna have two Gearhead Chicks like me!! :TU: Having it a "Family Affair" is a great thing.

Ok, since I started this, and apparently having cool gearhead women is way more popular than I thought, I figured I'd give everyone an update.
The wedding date is still July 7th, 2007, I've just finished installing front disc brakes from an S-10 on the Camino ( Check out how in "The Whoa and the Sway"), and I have included a picture of her sweet camino with her polished aluminum 5-slots. I know it's not a Buick, but she's got style. Everything's hunky dory on the homefront with us, and she even told me to tell everyone out there "hello".
Good luck with your rides, with your ladies, and remember to keep the rubber side down!

Josh... man, you've got it goin' on!!!

What a great thing. Keep her happy, and let her know how to keep you happy too!
That's a nice lookin' Camino! When I first started dating my X many years back, she had a 68 Cougar XR7 with a 302, dual's, big n littles with Keystone mags. It would look out of place now, but it was killer back then!! Oh man those were good days. Think I can find a good woman now with a hot car to park along side of my collection in the shop? Not to likely I'm thinking!! Oh well, I'll keep trying!! LOL

    Happy wedding!!

Julie looks at me while we were at BG and says I think we need a blue one (GS) and maybe we should think about a bigger garage too. This time how bout we get a hoist instead of a pit?
You gotta love a woman who appreciates cars, especially Buicks.

Ok so I don't have a gearhead chick but a mother who supported my hobby and helped nuture it. In my pre license days she would bring me to all the car shows, ok I would ask her but she always did. Then she allowed me to get an old car to drive and tinker with and then let me get a second project. Of course after a while she complained about the 4 '70 lark parts cars so I had to junk them and gave one away :( which sucked cause the were straight, rust free, and very clean bodies all believe it or not given to me. One even had new quarters (done very nicely) on it along with new paint. Boy could I have used those cars this past year. Now as long as she doesnt need the basement till I finish the buick so that I can get all those parts out of here. Hopefully one day I will myself meet a gearhead chick who will not only support my hobby but want to build a car of her own and not mind getting greasy. Guess I have to hit the cruise spots and start looking!!
