    GM Sponsored Exhibits Open
GM Internal Communications, November 24, 2003 .... Two important exhibits - one in Seattle and one in Washington, D.C. opened over the weekend due in part to GM's support. "SPACE: A Journey to Our Future," opened at Seattle's Pacific Science Center and "America on the Move" opened at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

"SPACE," one of the largest and most comprehensive exhibits on space exploration to tour the U.S., is made possible by GM with additional support from the Space Day Foundation and Lockheed Martin. In addition, Cadillac and OnStar are national promotional partners for "SPACE." The 12,000-square-foot exhibit will be on display in Seattle through May 9, after which it will travel to major science centers and museums in 12-15 North American cities over the next five years.

"America on the Move" takes visitors back in time to experience transportation as it changed America. The exhibit encompasses nearly 26,000 square feet on the first floor of the Smithsonian and includes 340 objects and 19 historic settings chronicling the journey of transportation in America from the coming of the railroad to a California town in 1876 to a multi-media experience of life in Los Angeles in 1999. GM is the principal sponsor of the exhibit, which is housed in the GM Hall of Transportation.
