Al my Long Island pal told me no Buick should move without a gauge set.

What's a good triple gauge set? I'd like black to match the interior. I was looking at the sunpro set.

    Any opinions? :Smarty:

    Thanks in advancement. :TU:

All I ever use in my cars is Autometer gauges. Most people go for the 3 pc set of Volt(or Amp),Water, and Oil.Personally,I only get the water and oil.I really don't get that uptight over the voltage my cars put out so I usually skip them.I would advise you to get a volt gauge instead of an Amp since you are more worried about voltage in your system than amperage. Most people don't know how to understand the amps and they are sometimes a pain to hook up.I bought a nice set of Autometer Ultras for around 75 bucks.Came with all necessary hookups and the cluster. In my opinion,I use electric water senders instear of the ones with the probe.Makes for a nicer hookup but I still use the mechanical oil but,use 1/8 copper line instead of the plastic stuff. The plastic is prone to leak, break or melt. Not a good situation, since it enters the interior. They come in black face of white faces for a choice.

It has been my experience that Sunpro is basically crap and not very accurate. I always get a gauge that has a 270 degree sweep rather than the 90 degrees sweep that Sunpro offers.

Well, Sunpro DOES have mechanical guages that run 270*....

I bought a triple guage set from the ZONE last year...they work great! And they're very small, and black.
