I am looking for recommendations for new lighting in my garage. It is 24 x 30 with 8 ft walls. the ceiling is white. I roughed in 6 boxes for ceiling lights. What are you liking out there and why?

    Thanks Jim

4 ft LED lights by Feit Electric.
I bought a bunch of these from Costco about 10 years ago.
Incredible output, energy efficient, and best of all, they work well in the cold.

Agreed 110% . I have 10 of these in my 36 X 56 garage and they are great . Plenty of light even when the temperature is below 0 F .

I put 10 in my basement that is 30 X 70 divided into 2 rooms . 6 in one and 4 in the other . Plenty of light .

Mine came from Costco too about 10 years ago . I forget what I paid for them but they were cheap

    Try this company, https://www.superbrightleds.com/.

I used their LED recessed lights in my father-in-laws basement and work shop. Super excellent lighting. I also bought the dimmer switch for them also.
Love these lights and the customer help is excellent. Vet

Go with the LED shoplites. I have 14ft ceilings in a 30x42 building. Ran 2 lines of them. Also did the upstairs. Local Joblot store had them for almost free a few years back. Also did my house garage and the attic in my house. Best lighting for sure.

I also have a 24 x30 8' ceiling, I have 3 rows of 8 bulbs, 6-4 bulb fixtures, total of 24 bulbs on two switches, Bulbs are LED T-8's 5000k. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the comments. I have been looking at our local Menards and they offer a lot of options. I really like the dimmer option as I want to be overlite as rarely you have to much light.

i purchased 4 small led shop lights from "big ass fans/lights" for a 26x26, {14 foot ceilings} shop/garage. did not think it would be bright enough, boy was i wrong it is bright as a surgical room! ten years old and zero issues. amazing build quality and small footprint.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I like fixtures that use standard lamps (bulbs). There is a trend nowadays toward integrated LED Fixtures. These are pretty cheap and probably will last a long while, but will need to be replaced when they die...

    Personally I avoid these.

What ever you decide on, be sure that you will have means to access then to replace the bulbs. My lights in my shop[ are WAY higher than my rolling ladder (that was used in a warehouse ) can reach. I have to rent a manlift to change my bulbs!

There have been other threads on shop lighting on here and IIRC the T5 HO were also recommended there.
