Im at the point in my build where I have to run the fuel lines. The original Regal set up is a three line system with an in-tank pump. A fuel line, a return line, and a vent. What has everyone been doing with these lines on a carbed 455 transplant?

Also what size line can I run to accommodate 600 or so horse power on a carbed 455?

    Thanks....

Im running a rear mounted electric pump with 1/2" hard line run inside the R frame rail to a reg mounted 6" off the firewall then split into 2 3/8 lines to the Holley.

... 1/2-inch braided stainless steel single line from electric Carter fuel pump (inline filter) out back to TA Street-strip mechanical fuel pump on block (inline filter #2) to Holley 850 DP.

Are either of you running a return line from the regulator back to the fuel tank? I have the body of my car off the frame right now so I'm wondering if its worth doing a return line too.....

    No return line on mine.

I have 1/2 line from the tank to a regulator, then 3/8 to the carb fuel lines (Holley 800 D/P). Used a 3/8 return line since it will be mostly street driven and was advised by some that it puts less stress on the elec. pump. for longer, continous use.

I'm running a Robbmac 1/2" pickup with 1/2" braided stainless steel line through an inline filter to a JW mechanical fuel pump with 1/2" braided line to an 850 DP Holley. No need for an electric fuel pump with this set up, and no return line. This is working very well for a JW 470 with close to 600 HP. Roger

I have a jw 470 being built right now. Somewhere down the line I may supercharge so I'm thinking up a fuel setup I can expand if necessary. I am heavily leaning towards an aero motive set up with 5/8 feed and 1/2 inch return with a fuel cel and an a1000 pump.

Run #10 line front to back. You can use a holley blue or black for now dependingon your application. Once you get a supercharger you can upgrade fuel pumps and line will already be ran. Are you goin fuel injection? A1000 were designed for FI from what I understand not sure you will get pressure low enough for a carbs setup.

Initially I will be doing a fast ez efi set up, so I will be fuel injected from the get go.

Should be nice efi. If your not stuck in using a fuel cell I would recommend using a GN tank and sending unit. With the technology now you could run a single 430 or dual 255 intank setup that would easily feed what you want. Would probably be quieter than than the aeromotive give you a more stock appearing and keep all your trunk.

Ive got a -6 line using parker push-loc to the front and a -8 line as a return ( also push loc ) -- no issues ever or running out of fuel... As a side note Im just removed an EZ EFI setup off a vehicle and am selling it for $750 if you're interested -- will come with everything that the base kit includes with the following exceptions --- 1. the wiring harness ( recommend you purchase a new one so you don't get a hacked up version ( $188 from FAST )) and 2. Ill include a MALLORY return style FI pressure regulator -- you will of course have to also provide a pump that can provide the required volume and pressures...PM if you're interested.
