For us guys who have modded street motors, has anyone used at PowerMist Performance Concentrate? I was talking to a guy from Sunoco Racing Fuels (very knowledgable and unbiased guy) who explained some of the benefits of the Performance Concentrate, and he highly recommended it for those of us who don't really need a race fuel.

Not only will it help with Octane Rating, but should actually also give more HP because it replaces some of the most active ingredients (BTX group) that were removed from pump gasses to make more "emmissions friendly" fuels. This stuff apparently gives back a lot of "oomph" (real technical term there).

I have tried many additives to kill the ping in high compression street motors. Nothing compares to a little avgas called 100ll. The performance number is much higher than the "100" which is not the octane rating as some apparently think. It contains the high concentrate of tetra pb just like the old days. This lead compound is still the most effective anti-knock additive. The cost is about $2.20/gallon at the small airports. Bring it home in a 5 gallon can and mix it in. Compare it to the cost per volume of any other over the counter additive. Do not take my word for it just try a shot.

Caveat: Do not use Av gas for a lead sensitive application like those involving O2 sensors or cat. convertors. They may be permanently damaged by the lead compounds. All my applications are 70 or older.
