Is the top piece of trim for the convertible windshield the same as a hardtop?

Does anybody sell the complete 3 piece trim set for a convertible? (top and 2 sides)

Is the cowl trim also the same for convert and hard?

    Thanks
    Mike

If you mean the long stainless steel piece across the top/outside of the windshield then NO, it's not the same as a hardtop piece. The convert piece is LONGER.

Not repro'd to my knowledge. Find nice used. The wide A-pillar stainless moldings are relatively easy to find. All 3 pieces used on the other Abody converts as well and the wide A-pillar stainless pieces survive pretty well. The top-of-windshield stainless piece seems to be a bit less common.

Bottom of windshield stainless piece (wiper arms sit on top of it when they are parked) is the same as a hardtop.

    Patton,

    Thanks for the info.

I did find a set of the 2 that go on each a-pillar but I still need the long one for the top of the glass.

    Thanks

Patton is it longer or shorter? I do know they are different and kind of hard to find. Look for anyone parting a convertible. I assume this is for a 68-72 so, any A body convertible parts will fit within the. So check with all the Chevelle and pont and olds suppliers maybe there is a repo.

They are very close but shaped different. the hardtop has a nice gentle curve that just ends. The convertible has the curve but it "kicks out" a small bit at the ends. I'll try to get pictures up, be a day or two.

I have one here but it has some issues. Been a while since I looked at it, I think some of the attach tab areas are distorted.
