Mine have been installed for a year ,they had to be banded to fit in? Anyways after said year the front still looks like it rides high, my front tires are 225/60/15 a 25.5 " tall tire. When looking at the car from the side, my front spindle bearing cap appears to lower than the bottom edge of the front fender where the wheel well opening starts.( kinda looks like the "gasser" look even with tht short of a tire) With that said... being that the springs are banded and the guy had a heck of a time getting them in, I think possibly I got the wrong set back? (he sent them out). I have 275/60/15's on the rear on stock GN wheels, looks awesome :TU: but want to change out the fronts , to a taller skinner tire, 205/70/15 or a 215/75/15 on stock GN wheels . I'm afraid that going to a taller tire with lift my front end higher yet. I want to "fill-in" my front wheel well opening SO what front springs are you all running, I have heard a few state that they have had good luck with the stock GN ft springs with a 455 Buick. If you got part #'s too that would be great. Thanks ahead of time
Mine had the weezer 307 Olds in it and I left them alone. I liked the stance it had when I was done. Here's a couple old shots of my car and it's ride height.
I used the springs for a '84 grand prix w/305 v8 I have 215/75 15's front,and 255/60 15's rear. here's how mine sits, I love the stance it has
i have to admit i want mine to down too. i used regular 307 springs because my v6 springs just couldnt take it. dan
I think you're correct. The taller tire would have a more drastic impact than is already evident... I'm betting they're the wrong springs if they had to be banded and they still look that high.... :eek2: my .02...
I first went with stock TR springs, but didn't like the look at all. Even with the 455, it was too high in the front for my taste. So I ended up going with some new 1/2 or 1 (can't remember for sure) inch drop springs.
