Hi, I am in the process of changing the brake shoes on the rear driver side (Sportwagon). When I pulled off the drum, I noticed that it was deeply grooved. I took it to NAPA and they told me that it was too thin (not counting the groove). The guy at the counter ran the number on the drum and came up with a replacement for $61. The problem is that the computer shoes that the rear drum I pulled off should be in the front.:Dou: He gave me another quote for the proper rear drum and that came out to $86.
Whwn I got home, I checked the service book and found that the width of the front and rear drums on a Sportwagon are 2.5". My question is would designated front drums work on the rear. They fit fine and have the same width, they just don't have the extra holes (ventillation?) drilled into the drum covers. Thanks, Wayne
