Front brake drums for 1962 fullsize sought

    Folks:

I have a 1962 Invicta, and apparently my front brake drums have no "meat" left in them for turning. I've looked around, and can't find anyone who sells new drums for this car. Anyone have a set of front brake drums with an inside diameter within allowable range? Any help or direction to such parts would be greatly appreciated.

  2. CARS, Inc. of New Jersey sells used "cut, cleaned and calibrated" brake drums or can re-sleeve yours for a pretty high amount. www.oldbuickparts.com.

Hopefully someone on the board has some they can sell you.

Cars Inc. doesn't do this (any more). I know that's what they say in their catalog, but if you call them up, they tell you they don't do this -- resleeving your drums. Nor do they have any stock of old/used drums for sale. I've pointed out that they need to change their catalog, which they acknowledge, but they haven't done so.

    Thanks anyway! Anyone else?

    Same as LeSabre

Yup. For these purposes, an Invicta is the same as a LeSabre. Can you give me the info. on how to contact the person with the '62 LeSabre. Of course, the problem with a "complete" car is that the owner is unlikely to want to just sell the drums (rather than the whole car), but it is worth a shot.
