Gib Mahle, a friend and Pontiac collector/restorer passed away 4/29. http://www.thederrick.com/stories/05012007-2044.shtml Gib was well known for the prototype '60 Pontiac station wagon that he converted into a El Camino style pick-up that had a 389 tri-power. His collection once had a 421 2+2 Bonneville, a 7 mile anniversary T/A, '55 Chieftain, '58 Fuel Injected Bonneville convertible and numerous others. His last resto, finished 2 years ago, was a '38 Buick Special. I know alot of you here have never even heard of him but if you're in Pontiac's at all you've more than likely heard of him. His restorations set the standards for others in our area. He once did a totaled (as in barrel rolled) W30 442 convertible just to show he could do it after being told that "no one, not even you Gib, can bring that one back".
RIP my friend, my your after life include lots of Pontiacs and big busted women.

....and can go back to Jack Daniels and Marlboros again.... Legends pass. We lost Dale Smith last year. What a story there.
