I just bought new foam for my 69 GS. What should I use to attach the foam seals to the air cleaner base? Would the glue that comes in a spray can work?

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Dan,

I used 3M weatherstrip adhesive (black) for my '69 GS350. It certainly seems to have done the job as the restorations is almost 6 years old and I've had no problems with the seals coming off or loosening up.

I was worried about any kind of glue drying, cracking or turning yellow due to the engine heat.

I used Automotive Goop adhesive. It's nasty stuff and not fun to remove, but it hasn't yellowed and it stays PUT:laugh:
