    Howdy,

Just curious if the Fremont batch codes on the firewall tags have ever been "decoded" for applications yet. I read on a Chevy site that the batch codes can be used to verify the validity of the trim plate - Link HERE...?

I haven't tracked down a build sheet on my '67 but did find the soft trim broadcast in the driver's seat. Attached is a pic. I haven't found any info on the two digit alpha codes written down. Any knowledge of what the two digit alpha codes relate to?

    Thanks,

    Hub,
I thought we decoded these types of codes something like 3 years ago.

That is a Fisher Body "cheat sheet" from a Fremont car.

The best explanation I've come across for the Fremont batch numbers is on this Olds site:
    http://www.442bro.com/
Goto the 'Accessory Option Codes' page.

Basicly, the 'batch code' on the Fremont data plate is indecipherable without the internal paperwork from the Fremont plant itself....probably long gone.

Duane - I remember sending you the #'s from the cheat sheet but for the life of me don't remember getting or writing down the answers. My little #'s .doc for my '67 still shows blank for what the batch codes and what the cheat sheet comes out to. Which reminds me, I've been meaning to order your #'s book.

Walt - thanks for the link. Good info. Sounds like the batch code is more of an in-house tracking number than a break down of anything.

    Thanks,

    Hub,
I don't have any way to decode the batch codes on the ID plate. I do not have enough 67 data to begin to cross-reference these numbers. They were internal numbers that Fisher Body used to "batch" groups of options together for ease of assembly.

The codes on the "cheat sheet" will list all the options that are "built" into the batch codes.

If anyone has a 1967 Fremont GMAD buildsheet from a skylark, GS, Chevelle, etc. I could use that to decifer your codes and list the options your car came with, at least the codes that Fisher cared about.

Thanks Duane. I look forward to the 67 Fremont build sheet fairy stopping by.

Is sales@classiccarinteriors.com still a good address for your shop?

That address works sometimes. It appears that hackers have grabbed it in the past to "distribute" their mail, then someone complains so they turn it off. Then we complain and have it turned back on, its a really fun cycle.

You can always PM me here, and I will get to it when I can, too many things going on right now.
