Found a buildsheet in my Fremont 72 GS350 today. I was all happy until I started reading it. Turns out its from another car. Car was a burnished copper Skylark Custom with a sandlewood painted top:

    Color
lw-63 up-50 st -- w-19 (whats these last two codes mean?)

    Charged to:
    Calgary Motors, Calgary, Alberta

    Some interesting options equipped were

    K05- engine block heater
    Z49- extra antifreeze (?)
    DX3- delete stripe
    GT1- 2.56 axle

Its very hard to read as its has an orange water stain on it.
The VIN is a little confusing. Near as I can read it it says 4H39H2Z110422.
    Whats a 39 model code??

Lastly, anyone have this car by chance??? Ive got your build sheet!

I have talked to guys that worked in the buick plants, and some of them told me if they forgot to put a build sheet into a car, they just put it in the next one down the assembly line. Can you Imagine?? :Do No:

Happened to me too with my ragtop, found a buildsheet and was so excited then realized it was for a post coupe...nice.

Anyway, block heater is a good option for up here (surprisingly few cars got them). Winter can be ugly sometimes (or mild others) and the anti- freeze was added to all cars destined for Canada, usually extra fuel as well. DX3 is interesting, are they talking about the side pinstripe??

The 39 is two door hardtop skylark custom.

Calgary motors is no longer here.

    later
