My 65 GS vert still has a Miller Motors service sticker in the door jamb. Must be from before 1971! I wasn't able to find out if the car was sold from there. Previous owner had a shop a few miles away, so it is possible.

I've driven by that building before, and it is very cool. The really old dealerships had a whole different look from what came around in the '50s and later.

The building in itself is unique, unfortunately these builds are so hard to heat and cool.
In todays market there are about 5000 dealerships empty due to the the down-sizeing of Chry, and GM.
I have heard that there are NO GM DEALERS in the city of Sanfransico CA. Have not checked out, but I was told by a GM dealer they were all gone within the city.
Hey, it a buyers market out there and the market will get better for the buyer after the first of the year as more than more of these building pop up.
I live in Knoxville TN, we lost the largest DODGE Dealership its empty, the Pontiac Dealership, the Chrysler dealership, Saturn is over, and within 15 miles we lost a Cadillac, Ford, and Pontaic Dealership.
Just went to the wrecking yard today over 2000 cars, at least 1/2 of them imports blew the old mans mind!
I was also told as of yesterday NO 2010 Dodge cars has been sold in this town.
So the moral to this story is:
You better keep what you got serviced and in top shape until things change a little.
    Chas.

It is a HUGE space to heat and cool.
While the purchase price is reasonable, simply maintaining the building (not to mention annual taxes) would be a killer.

Cool building for sure, Check out what a couple in Waukesha Wi did with an old car dealership, I don't remember them selling Studebakers here but this was an MG/Triumph dealer at one time also

Jason will buy it for a song, sending the realtor home in tears.

Bet Honda or Toyota could turn a profit.

There's a guy on Ebay selling these. Fits perfectly over my garage door. The antique looking service station light fixture came from Home Depot

Thanks for the vote of confidence Devon. :TU:

Walt....you read my mind on that car..I wouldnt be surprised if it was that car...only 10 L76 cars were built in fremont with the special A.I.R ..and the 7036242 carb. .. I was EXTREEEEMY luck to get my original carb back..thanks to the board... Imagine trying to locate one of those..forget it!

Talk about CORNY! Did you notice the glint from the chrome air cleaner as the wiener was closing the hood? It could be the optional dress-up package, or more likely, the L-76 Q-jet uniot. It's the same color scheme as the one the dealer's wife had which now belongs to a board member. I'd bet real money (not the stuff they're printing right now to bail out the economy) that it's the same car. Dan
