Sometimes when you have trouble with something, the solution is staring you right in the face and you just don't see it.

Turns out my heater temp control cable was out of adjustment, and allowing heated air into the air ducts.:Dou:

I have got to say, my a/c now works at least as good as it did with the R-12. My thermometer is now reading 45-50 degrees at the center outlet. I should have waited before I jumped to conclusions about this great product.

The nice thing about this stuff is that Low side pressure is 32 psi, high side is 125, so much better than R-134 which can run over 300psi on the high side. It is compatible with ALL oils, and it can be used with stock fittings if you use their adapter. Also, it does not become corrosive if the system gets moist. It is better than R-12 in my opinion. (now that I figured it out):spank:

Charles Fox at Fox Tool and Supply is the man to call to order your HC-12. He is very knowlegable and the stuff costs about $5 per can, mine took 5 cans. The price of the cans with the old "duracool" label are reduced for quick sale. I paid $60 for 12 cans. If you need some his phone is (615) 865-6251. It was his suggestion that I check the cable and he was right on.:bglasses:
