I finally got to run the Flying Toilet this weekend. What an easy thing to work with. The 60' improved from a 1.45 to a 1.34, the top end was pretty close to the same with maybe a minor improvement over the 950 and gas. Leaving at 3600 on the TB really plants me in the seat, almost painful on the back. I think the tune is about where it will stay, it was running pretty consistent 6.4's 105 mph in the 1/8. Need to install the delay box and work on a new tree procedure.
    Thanks Rick

That's great Rick! Thanks for the update. Did Ron's tell you which jets and nozzle to use, or did you get it close by yourself? Which size throttle body did you get, 4"? I've got a line on a used terminator system from rons, but I'm not sure if I'd rather have that or the flying toilet.

James Monroe set me up with 35 nozzle and 90 pill, worked up to 82 ran a 6.60 pill but slowed at that point. Went back to a 86 pill and went 6.4, so I think thats where it will stay. Super easy, watched the plugs and the time slip. Take an allen wrench pull the plug out, pull the pill, put knew pill in, put plug back in, done. Takes about that long too. Mine is a 4 1/4" Toilet, tuning is nearly the same accept you have 2 extra barrels to adjust.
    Thanks Rick

Alky does make good power but have you change your oil yet??? scary when it comes out full of water....

Oil only looks bad if you don't get the motor hot enough, I can get mine up to 180*, not sure if thats enough yet.
    Thanks Rick

It's my understanding that if you're really fat on the alky mixture, or you don't build enough heat to "steam" out the moisture, you'll end up with milky oil. Are you using any top lube Rick? Also, is it hard to read plugs with alky?

Rick that was a great 1st time out for a new system ,James knows his stuff.
The car should prove more consistant ETs and run cooler when it counts.
Jury is out on how youll like it when it gets cold though.
You picked up .09 in the 60....WOW. "And they say meth is bad". ha ha
Methanol should be good for a small gain in torque but that is huge.
Good luck this year and go get some win lights.

You are correct on the water thing. When I idle I pull out the shut off about have way and lean it out, that way its not pouring it in. I use Klotz oil for top end lube plus put some smelly stuff in it too. My understanding on reading the plugs is that you use a cadium plated plug and watch for the plating to start to burn off, the grd is the same for checking your optimum timing. I'm checking on the cadium thing because I don't show any burning off, it may be that my compression is low. Next race I am going to try different pill on either side of the 86 to see what happens. One thing for sure you really need more than 2 fuel jugs, 9 passes used nearly 25 gallons. Sure is fun tho.
    Thanks Rick

Thanks for all the extra info. Rick. Here's what Rod uses and why in his blown regal:

I'm not sure if alky burns all the same, or it might burn a little different under boost, let us know how the cadium plated plugs work out.:TU:
