    Hello all

I am swapping a 4 speed into my 70 GS wannabe, (actually Skylark Custom). I have an original 70 GS shifter and an original floor hump but it is rusted pretty badly. Does anyone make a pretty correct replacement hump that the boot retaining ring will fit, that I can buy?

I'm doing the conversion, the floor hump from a 68 GTO works well I'm told , Year one has the inner and outer boot as well, Tom

the GTO hump is so different its not close, but..if you dont car about orginal, and use the GTO shifter hump and boot its nice stuff..

If your looking for something closer to original, everyone uses the 66-67 chevelle hump..its pretty close..if youd do a search you could find it...

Just called Fusick Olds, and the guy I talked to there didn't know anything about a 68-69 Olds floor hump. Said he didn't have anything like that or any idea where I might find one.:Do No:
Has anyone else actually bought one somewhere?

Found this offered for sale on "The Parts Place" website, $50:
Never bought anything from them, but have heard (actually read) stories, any experience here?

If you are converting from an automatic. You need to be sure the hump goes all the way up along the side of the trans and not just where the shifter is. The 3/4 rods will not clear the origional auto tunnel.

Never heard of this. I believe the floor pans/tunnels were the same auto or stick. A hole was cut for the 4 speed hump to be welded in and seam sealed. Sometimes the hole was cut crudely as well. Looking like it was done with a sawzall.

***EDIT*** I think I understand what you are saying now. I misunderstood.

if you want it to look stock, you use the 66-7 chevelle metal hump, and the 68-69 cutlass boot and ring......if you look at the stickey in this secton...it spells it out....

Ok how would someone take a auto car to a 4 speed? What would you need in parts and who do you get the correct stuff from. 1967 special column shift auto 2 speed to an m20 4 speed. Do you just buy all chevellebstuff or what do you mix and match for the right look. Help please
