I have a flexplate I would like to use. It has a crack about 1.5" long from one of the large lightening holes past one of the attach bolt holes (sits about 1/8" outside of the bolt hole).

Can I have this tig welded to repair it or is it trash??

    Thanks

    Dear Tim,

I had one welded once and it worked out just fine. My neighbor did it, so the price was right! I would also recommend filing the sharp edges arounf the holes. It makes it more difficult for cracks to start

Thanks. I ws actually deburring all the holes when I found it...I have a friend who is a master at mig and tig welding so shouldn't be an issue.....

Just hate to toss it for something like that, they are expensive suckers and the rest is in excellent shape....

    later
