So I have the 6 flexplate bolts from my Buick 350. They seem to be in great shape. Can I install those on my 455 with out issues.?They are only grade 5. I'm going to check Napa and a local industrial shops to see if they have them in the same size but grade 8. Has anyone else ventured down this road yet that has some insight? Maybe some body sells them. Parts olace had new chevelle ones. That are a maybe. Thanks Jesse.

TexasT Texas, where are you from

Any good transmission shop should be able to fix you up with some new bolts.

Good point. I do have a good one on my way to work. Just wasn't thinking about that option. Thanks.

Hey Larry when I search for Flex plate bolts via the interweb I didn't ever come across ARP ones. I found replacement ones that were again grade 5. Do you know the part number? Or who carries them. I try and go with summit usually to get enough items for free shipping but that's not always in the cards. Maybe it's how I entered the search. I just typed in Buick 455 Flex Plate bolts. If you tried it a different way let me know. Thanks for your time.

I used ARP bolts on my new engine. Think JW sent them to me. I'll have to look for the part number when I get home, or you can PM Jim. Might be the same as a Chevy? 7/16-20?

That sounds like a good idea anyway. I imagine he is swamped at his shop though with people wanting race ready engines this time of year. Thanks for the input. I just try and not get in the guys way to much I know he is a busy dude. Thanks again for the help.

Back to the original question: " They seem to be in great shape. Can I install those on my 455 with out issues?" - At what HP/TQ would you recommend the ARP's over OEM?
