    Back to the Basics :Smarty:

I had many issues with my Stock GS 350 to make it right for me. I liked the shift kit! My wife did not? Moving up to the 2400 Stall converter solved the problem for both of us! Soft low RPM shift for her and the Bang-Chirp at open throttle for me!

This also allows my car to idle in gear slightly higher. My original converter used to really drop the RPM when I put it in gear. This also only gave me about 7 pounds of oils psi at hot idle! Now I have 20 psi at idle and dont have to stand on the breaks to keep the car from creeping at a red light

I also had an issue I blamed on under performing Carburetor or a Transmission holding shifts to long of power running out just before shifts at WOT. Getting rid of my NAPA aluminum pickup cap and rotor and going with high end parts has cured that problem now.

AS I had alluded to in my other posts I found I had a bad balancer. Believe me when I say the keyway would have fit 4 keys wide. This brings up another issue to check? What is my timing really set at? It ran great and did not ping. I thought it was at 8 degrees advanced? But if my timing mark was off who knows?

Any way it runs great now and is smooth as silk across the power band. This is a good Buick Day!
