  1. Does anyone know if there is a bolt on replacement for the carter wcfm and intake???
I would like to run a 600cfm edelbrock on my 322, but i'm not too sure about the inlet...will the 600cfm bolt straight up or have i gotta change the inlet or make a spacer???
and if its jus a spacer, is there anyone who produces one or have i gotta get one machined up?

The AFB/Edelbrock carbs have wider bolt spaceing than the 56 down WCFB ( 57 WCFB has wider spaceing). There used to be spacers in the 60's to adapt Wider carbs but I'm not sure thy are availlable now.

As I remember ( 30 years ago ) they were about an inch thick had eight hole four to manifold four had nuts on the bottom for new carb pattern and holes to transition from intake to carb throttle plate? You might try speed shops or Autozone I saw a plate to addapt spread bore carb at autozone so they may have others availlable.

this won't help much, but yes there is a spacer and it is about 3/4 inch. I have one on my car but it is 300 miles from here and I won't be seeing it for a while. They are not an exotic item. My builder in Porterville Ca had a few. He lliked the ones where the holes were seperate and not 'open ' to each other. Car runs real well. WW
