    Hey everyone,
this was funny today. Im off work for the long new years weekend and sitting on my front porch cause its 65 degrees today. Anyway this rice burner (acura maybe) comes by the front of my house (30mph spped limit) at about 70 and I hear a siren. I looked for a cop car and was surprised to see a 2003? red Transam thats looking like one of those hot rod versions. It turns out my home town has a new under cover cruiser! Tahda the young kid gets a speeding ticket. Kinda funny thing to see. Ive seen this ricer and others go by several times very fast in my neighborhood. Guess everyone thinks their the fast and furious now. Drew aka the "fast & curious":beer

    A kill story?

Yeah, them ricers think they got something mean and heavy under the hood when all they got is a 4 beer cans propelled by a rubber band and them popular fart can exhaust. That brings up a story in my mind that happened about 2 months ago. I was driving away from pizza hut's parking lot with a pizza, and i saw this skyhawk(early 80's) pass me goin maybe 40 mph in a 30 mph zone on main street. When it passed me, I thought it was one of them stupid tricked out ricer mazda's, but when i pulled behind it at a stoplight, it said skyhawk on the back of it. Anyways, I imagine it was a 4 cylinder from the way it sounded, but im not sure, I don't really know much about skyhawks, and I know it had a manual shift because when he came to a full stop, he didn't have his brake lights on, and he reved it up before he took off. When the light turned green, he took off and in my rear view mirror comes this riced out 2001 or 2002 S-10 with a 4 cyl and fart can exhaust, so he passes me and trys to catch up to the skyhawk, at the next red light we stop at, the s-10 throws a few revs, then the skyhawk throws a few loud ones,(i thought it was going to blow the exhaust system away), and when the light turns green, the skyhawk screams the tires and the s-10 is way behind, but he catches up to the skyhawk when the light ahead turns red and the skyhawk runs it and the s-10 screams his brakes just in time to stop. since the skyhawk left him behind, I pull up beside him and see that he is looking at my car, and before the light turns green, he turns off to the right, and why he did that, i dont know. But i think i know why, he got beat by one buick, and he didn't want beat by another, thats my theory. but im not exactly sure why, but I know he wasnt going to turn until I pulled up by him. I love all buicks, but I never have seen that skyhawk except for that time, so i dont know where he went, but what i didnt like about that buick was the exhaust, and the S-10's exhaust was stupid too, I dont know why some of these americans with these american cars act like they have imports:Do No:  its way beyond me. Anyway, i hope everyone had a happy newyears!!!!!!!!:beer

Haha I know all about this being in high school where there are more ricers then anything. I am the only kid in my school with an older car with a v8, (there a 67 mustang but with a 6). Rice burners everywhere, fart cans, huge wings and altezzas are the 3 big popular things they put on their cars. They are amazingly.....slow. I beat them with my buick with ease (loaded with 4 friends), I even beat them in my Jimmy, and thats just a winter beater with the stock 4.3. I dont know why all these kids are like this, but Im proud to drive an old american v8.

Yep go to U-E, thats pretty cool we should get together sometime, ever go to the home depot shoes or the speedie fest shows? I was there last summer. I'll send ya a private message we should meet sometime in the spring/summer when we can drive the buicks again. My friend has a 73 Centurian and we usually go cruising together. Well talk to ya later.

I hope you guys don't get too cocky with ricers, most of my friends at one time or another have gotten beat by a stupid ricemobile. Of course this doesn't happen every day, cause there aren't many in the US that are that fast, about a year ago my friend with a nice built 88 5.0L Thunderbird was cruising when a gang of ricers surrounded him at the light. He said the crappy looking primered gutted out Civic Hatchback pulled up next to him and when the lights turned green the low 13 second T-bird got beat pretty bad. Of course you can imagine it pissed my friend off a lot to finally actually get beat by rice, but I'm sure that little maxed out Honda engine has blown up since then and my boy's T-bird now runs even harder. The Japanese never brought the good cars into the US. I have gained a lot more respect for some of the Japanese cars. Being able to go 10's and 11's on a stock internal motor is proof enough for me (Nissan power! NOT Honda crap). Point is, there are a lot of fast (non-poser) imports out there, it's just a matter of time before you line up with one that gives you a run, so don't get too proud or I may have to come find you and make you learn the hard way  All in good gest though :TU:

    buickman70 I pirated this pic!!!

I got to take the Jap spec eclipse's (for export back to Japan- now there is a concept) that we built, on the test track and they were really fast. When the US versions were 210hp the Jap spec Eclipse was 270hp. Which just happens to be the same hp as the Evolution Lancer. Rob

    lawn-mowers

Honda's are peices of crap when it comes to making automobiles, but when it comes to lawn-mowers, ya can't beat em. But if you do have a honda, I guess they are alright to get back and forth to some-places, but imports are a last resort for me. Even the fast imports don't have good sound or feel, so thats why I think good old american muscle is the way to go!!!!:TU: :3gears: :beer

I have experienced something similar to that. In my old neighbourhood there was many rich kids whose parents would buy them these Ricers and pay for the "Frying," as I like to call it, for the kids. Many times they would run one certain stop sign and I guess there was many complaints because we would play road hockey in the same area. One day a Rice boy decided to run the stop sign as was greeted by an undercover cop at the end of the side street. I must have seen that cop give out 10 tickets to Rice boys that day. He sure mad himself a living.

ive noticed that the honduh's that are fast are usually the hatchback ones at least from what ive seen, they only weigh about 2100 lbs and when theyre stripped down they dont weight that much i dont really care though to me theyre still trash that needs to be thrown away, too bad my girl has a civic lol...

I have 92 sentra se-r with t-28 turbo setup that puts down 250whp and weighs like 2500lbs..Don't like like a typical honda ricer..Also no altezza and dumb ricer crap. I catually even took off spoiler and put on base model trunk minus rear finish panel..hehhe make it look real stock..The car has many mods..just no stupid ricer kit,wing,lights..I also have a 71 Plymouth Duster,46 Chevy Fleetline aero buick 350 powered, and 87 Jeep comanche. I am just saying not all import drivers are ricers..But the trouble makers are the ones who don't really even have cool mods..AKA RICERS!
Sorry I am babbeling..BTW Nice to meet you all
    Thanks

Just wanted add the car puts down 237wtq..So its not a stupid honduh where you have to hit 8000rpm to see any hp. Also I notice the trouble makers are the ones with no real time or money into there cars..

    Thanks
