Okay, my dad has a '68 Land Rover 109" IIA. It has a Chevy 250 motor in it, which uses standard GM starter and internally regulated alternator. My dad has had starting and charging problems since he got it, buy it peaked the other day when it died. We have now been trying to trace the wiring to figure out just where all the juice if flowing to and from. This is not easy because the wiring consists of a mix of 30 year old Lucas and new wiring from added accesories that my dad put it. Anyway, below is a simple diagram of part of the system. With everything off, at point A, 12V is there. My question for now is this: should there also be 12V coming out at point B?

I haven't yet traced where the wire from point B is going, but I think it is going to the charge light. My guess is that after the charge light, it then goes to either the ign. switch, or to a small fuse block, and then to the ign. switch. Sound right?
