    I have a 71 Skylark and need the fender/cowl tag decoded. i am particular interested in the what interior is suppose to be in here adn in what color combo? Here goes.

    ST 71 43327 G 83223 BDY
    TR 104 53 53 PNT
    06E

    Also, according to the VIN this is an L6 series car. Does that mean it originally came with a V6? I was told it had the original 350 2 bbl in it with the original 77,000 miles on it that is also on the title. Any help would be great.

    ST71=1971 model year,4=Buick Motor Division,33=Skylark L-6, 27=2dr. post coupe.
    TR104=Sandalwood interior, vinyl bench seats,53=Cortez Gold lower body colour, 53=Cortez Gold upper body colour.
    06E= 06-6th month, E-5th week (calendar week) this is the build date of the car.
    The 33 Skylark was originally slated with an Inline-6 base Chevy engine, however, most were upgraded by the ordering dealer to a V8. Mine is the same.
    Check on the front of the block just below the head on the left bank. Directly behing the power steering brackets.
    Look for a stamped number starting with 41Gxxxxxx. Last 6 will match the last 6 on the VIN tag at the windshield. This will indicate the original engine for the car.
