  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

I think everybody must have forgotten about Scotty G who was running 7.70s over 10 to 12 years ago with his buick motor.

    Terrance,

There is a big problem with your statement..... Scotty was only able to make one or two passes before hurting the engine. The Buick block just cant handle the stress.

Yes, John thats is true. I was just stating the times. Even though it didn't stay together he has the ability to make them run the number. When I visited his shop when he was in New york. He had several T A catalogs with the picture of his car with the 7.70 caption under it. (I still have it).
I asked him about it. He said he wouldn't build another buick motor until someone makes a block that can handle the power he was able to produce.
And with him being at Pat M's with all the lastest technology at his disposal. Can you imagine what times he could put up on the board. Better yet what Doug Hecker is going to put up. with the new blocks.

That would suck, building an engine that ran in the 7's and have the block give out!:( Oh well, that is an awesome time, and when the blocks are produced that can handle the power, then i guess that there will be some good times in the 7's or even better:beer
