Anyone have a source for oem style exhaust hangers? I'm looking for the 73 b body hangers.

    Thanks

The big car Buick people are SOL when it comes to repro exhaust hangers. I have not even been able to find someone who sells the reinforced rubber strips and large rivets so originals could be rebuilt. I found a couple NOS hangers on ebay but there are a total of 6 on the Riv and each one is unique.
I see Gardner has the rubber strips and rivets which they use on the A-Body hangers. I emailed them to see if they'd sell that stuff separately.

Got a response already from Gardner - They will not sell those items separately.

I got some of those universal hangers, and I can probably make those work. I'd just like to be able to put the oems on there so it's nice and snug.

    Bummer Jason ! :af:
I have some salvaged Riviera hangers where the rubber components are 'iffy'. I was hoping to refurbish them when I get around to installing tailpipes this spring. Like to keep it OEM, and have a few NOS pieces, but its looking like we may hafta go with some universal aftermarket hangers - if you can find any that are suitable. :Do No:

    Try Steve Caruso at http://www.carusoperformance.com
He sells reproduction N25 tip hangers, and rebuilds original N25 hangers.

If you've got some original hangers for your car, he might be able to rebuild them for you. Can't hurt to ask. :beers2:

All I have are the drawings from the service manuals.

Anybody noticed what the rubber source was for the hangars?-tire sidewalls and sometimes they were whitewalls at that

Yep you got it! Got to be from bias tire sidewalls. I tried rubber strips from radials and its a little too pliable.
