Hello guys, I need a dual exhaust kit for my 71 350 skylark on manifolds, ... I want a 2 muffler with agressive sound and with a nice roundly when the car are stopped a the light ... then i want you to advise me
Have a good muffler shop install a set of true 2-1/2" exhaust with a X-pipe and either Flowmaster or Supertrapp mufflers. I've got Supertrapps mounted right off my headers, and they sound great.
Check out: Man! what a deal!!! Better hurry! Don't forget to choose the free 'Super Saver' shipping option. http://www.amazon.com/MagnaFlow-1589...8140&sr =1-65 Originally posted by wkillgs...... I just ordered one myself!
but where I could find a kit exhaust .... without muffler and without downpipes.... which fits directly on manifolds
check www.taperformance.com for the down pipes - part #TA2008D . they bolt right to the stock manifolds , down and back , stop approx'ly in the trans crossmember area and point back towards the rear hanger area . TA also has exhaust kits for headers or these pipes i believe . the walker super turbo's are rated for flow very well considering their price , not just catalog info - independent testing as well . del
where are you ? i can do whatever you want at my shop but i recommend flowmaster im in northern idaho if thats close to you
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPtt8ewrCCk Buick 350 with headers, 2.5 inch dual exhaust with h-pipe and series 40 Flowmaster mufflers. Motor wasnt stock (TA 310 camshaft, 8.5-1 compression) and had a popped header gasket, but gives you a fair idea what yours may sound like. Personally my next Buick is likely going to get some Magnaflow mufflers or some Walkers. I think they sound better than the Flowmasters.
H-pipe is a deeper sound....X-pipe is raspier. Plus h-pipe gives you better low end torque, x-pipe gives you more power in the higher rpm range. If you want loud, go with true duals (no h or x) and Cherry Bomb Extremes. :TU:
Cherry Bomb Extreme is 1 chamber = real loud (and technically only legal for the track). Flowmaster 40 is 2 chamber = loud. I'm an old man now but I still prefer the 'real loud'.:TU:
Here is a nice 3" exhaust with flowmaster 40s. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GSSeuxnj1wQ?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GSSeuxnj1wQ?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
