I don't like the gap between the L front quarter and door. Maybe an accident. Hard to see the body tag. It almost looks smooth. That's one of the first things he is going to look at. Also appears that the hood release latch is sticking out thru the bumper? Normal for 72's?

Looks like it’s out a little too far. This car was sold through the Manheim auto auction in Harrisburg PA for 25K in early October. I can’t find the auction link but a buddy of mine sent me the attached pic. Looks like they detailed it and painted the hood lip moulding. Notice the tires are the same in both ads and the 71 grille.

Not enough information on this 71 convert.

From what I can see and photos do improve the appearance of the car, it looks to be a value at the $40k to $50k range.

My guess is, it may go higher at auction. We'll have to wait and see.
Not sure the bullet mirrors were a option on the 71 GS? VET

    it’s a 72 with a 71 grille. Has a correct vin for a 455 car. They were options in 71 and 72

WoW, really, sold at Harrisburg PA for 25K in early October!!!!

I must be missing something here. Either the guy that bought this GS got a real deal or I'm being suckered, Himmm.

WHAT, a 72 GS with a 71 grille. Has correct vin for a 455 car. REALLY. GEE, guess I did get suckered.

Why would anyone do that???? 71 & 72 grills don't even look each other.

^ this. It was probably done by the same body shop in Harrisburg PA that did our 72. Caked on bondo

You would think that a body shop that packs on tons of Bondo would get a bad rap in the area and people would stop bring their cars to them!!!!

    You would think????

Something is dramatically wrong with the left side distance between front & rear wheel well openings. The rocker trim should sit between the wheel well trim, not overlap it.

Now I know WHY it sold for 25K at Harrisburg PA. Even that amount is too much for how this Buick was butchered a the body shop.

This is criminal to do to ANY car. What a shame! VET

That door is also a mess... My guess they messed up the fender patch. I would guess someone patched together whatever parts they had or cheaply accessed.
