What do I do with the fuel lines and stuff for an engine and tranny I am taking out. Are there any oil or fuel lines attatched to the engine and tranny that I have to disconect and if so what do I do with them. Let them drain or clog them?

    Unhooking lines and stuff

Gas line at the fuel pump.

Gas return line at the fuel pump.

    (2) tranny cooling lines at the transmission.

    Radiator hoses.

    Heater hoses.

    Also:

Shift linkage, speedo cable, ground straps, battery cables, ignition wiring, oil pressure sensor wiring, temperature sensor wiring, power steering lines, vacuum lines.

Drain the radiator first. Put a catch can under the gas lines. You might want to elevate the lines so they don't keep dripping forever.

The biggest chance to spill all over the ground is if you pull the transmission with the engine. You will dump GALLONS of ATF out the back of the transmission if you don't plug the output shaft hole.

Either way, I always keep a bag of Oil-Dri or kitty litter handy. I always spill something.

i just got a 3/8" (fuel line) bolt and a 1/4" (return line) bolt and put them in the fuel hoses and put the clamps back on. works fine :TU:

coolant needs to be drained, some tranny fluid will manage its way out also.
