Engine pull

    Trying to pull the engine on my 56 Special,
    removed the bellhousing bolts and the motor mounts. But it's still in there, anybody got any idea of what I've missed.

    Umm, I'm not too good at this sort of thing, but did you also disconnect whatever holds the transmission's clutch or converter to the flywheel?

    If you have a Dynaflow there are three nuts on the front pump ( torque converter ) that hold it to the flex plate. Remove the cover from the front of the bell housing and you'll see the nuts only remove the three that are not down in holes in the flex plate. Keep track of the way all these parts fit together they are ballanced and the trans fluid drain plugs only line up with access holes in the flex plate one way.
