I am having trouble finding Krylon 2114 engine paint. Is there a good match for Buick red engine enamel from someone else? George getoth@gmail.com
I bought it from Year One for my 72, and it held up nicely. With the latest car, I bought the Krylon online, and after one heat cycle the heads turned black ou:
I just use ''ford red'' ,,,, looks the same to me..... and nobody,, nobody has said it looks different to them.. over many years of rodding and showing....
The colors above looks great but spray cans and spray cans, that's all I can find,,,isn't there anyone who has the paint codes for buick engine red, would be very nice that case. Regards Linus
Auto Parts Store Score! Picked up 3 cans of Krylon 2114 from Oreilly, cost me $5 each. Ordered on a Sat, picked up on a Mon.
Re: Auto Parts Store Score! Does the Year One red have better heat resistance than the Krylon. My Krylon isnt holding up on the exhaust port side of my heads at all.
Re: Auto Parts Store Score! Thats what I found... The Year One paint I used on my 72, held up really well.. for years actually. But its about $14 a can. The Krylon I used a few months ago on my 70, turned black on the exhaust ports on the head after one heat cycle. I paid about $6 a can from the safety company link above.
