Engine Boring

    Can you safely run a 350 with a .060 overbore?

    Have it sonic checked first. I was going to have mine bored .060 also, but the machine shop talked me out of it, at least at .030 over, you might be able to have it bored again if the need arises. At .060 over, your at the limit, that is IF the block will take a .060 over bore to begin with. Mark:beer

    I seen a set of pistons on ebay forsale that were .060 and I was just curious.

    I would stay away from it. For the small increase in displacement, it's just not worth it. I've heard rumors about running hotter when bored out that far, and it definately takes some strength out.
