A buddy emailed me this 1928 penny postcard with a service announcement to repair a customer's Model T Ford. I think only Dave H. and Frank Rice are old enough to remember prices like these!p p
We had a bunch of model T's at the drive in theater in Kentucky where I worked. They're really fun to drive. They were all over the place down there. I did ship the Mercury Flathead engine from my 52 Ford to Precision Motor Works for a total rebuild from the drive in. It cost $100 and included everything. We strapped it to a pallet and it was picked up by a trucking company. Took 2 weeks total...That was in 1964...I was 20 at the time and halfway through college. :bglasses:
Interesting, Bottineau is about 3.5 hours from my front door, Maxbass another 40 miles beyond that. I wonder how good those early highways were.
